Little Scarecrows delivers exceptional standards of pre-school care and education, in a secure, safe, semi-rural environment with an outside area full of fun things to enjoy. We add quality to daily life by striving to provide the highest standards, based on best practice. We make learning and making friends fun.
OUR STAFF
Our staff are recruited for their skill, commitment, enthusiasm and care for their job. A safe robust recruitment system including DBS checks is followed when staff join the nursery. We work together as a team, to ensure we are providing a quality service with the knowledge that our nursery is a happy, safe, positive and stimulating. We are committed to improvement through continuing professional development . What’s more, we all really like each other, have fun at work and are able to claim that our staff are long standing. People say this is what “shines out of our nursery”!
MAKING EVERY DAY FUN!
Our great team realises the importance of building trusting, good relationship with parents and carers from the very first day and each child's key person will play an important role to ensure the individual needs of both the parent and the child.
We understand, leaving your child for the first time in nursery is a huge event and may cause a few sleepless nights – we’ve had to go through it too – so we go out of our way to try and make this as easy as possible providing open communication channels and introducing your child into preschool life through a flexible routine.

Every day at Little Scarecrows is carefully planned to ensure your child receives the best learning opportunities whilst meeting their individual social, physical and emotional needs. This is achieved using the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and 'in the moment teaching' making learning fun and exciting.
The environment at Little Scarecrows has been carefully designed using a natural holistic approach to support your child in self-selecting resources of their choice, together with engaging adult led activities to meet with all area of the curriculum.
This means your child has the best possible start to their learning in a stimulating, positive and encouraging environment.
SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
The ethos of Little Scarecrows implements and supports the sustainable development goals through planning and activities, previously achieving bronze and silver awards through the Green Flag Eco-Schools initiative. All parents and children are invited to join in and have fun sustaining our planet earth.
